Jackie Kennedy's Enduring Style Inspiration

Few realize that it was Jackie Kennedy that started the tradition of a themed Christmas tree at the White House — a tradition she started in 1961. Her first theme: the Nutcracker Suite. That year she wore a red, likely silk wool, dress and matching coat for the event.

Topping it with a boxy, 60s style jacket or blazer is one of the easiest ways to wear this dress from the office to after work fêtes.

If you want to create a more vintage look or dress it up even more, a fur chubby coat is the perfect accessory to create a retro glam look.
The Jackie style also works with knee high boots and a fur poncho or caplet for especially cold winter nights.
