Jackie Kennedy Holiday Style (part I)

Few realize that it was Jackie Kennedy that started the tradition of a themed Christmas tree at the White House — a tradition she started in 1961. Her first theme: the Nutcracker Suite. That year she wore a red, likely silk wool, dress and matching coat for the event.
The Jackie I shift dress was inspired by this look and her style during the White House years where certain elements were found on her style along with her signature pill box hat.

STYLING IDEAS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Very Jackie Kennedy
Topping it with a boxy, 60s style jacket or blazer is one of the easiest ways to wear this dress from the office to after work fêtes.
A tweed jacket will give it a particularly Jackie touch.

City Gal
A vintage animal print coat and a beret for chilly nights in the city.

Retro Glam
If you want to create a more vintage look or dress it up even more, a fur chubby coat is the perfect accessory to create a retro glam look.

This style works with knee high boots and a fur poncho or caplet for especially cold winter nights.
